All Hail The Queen!

And no, I’m not talking about Queen B, I’m talking about the fabulous Taylor Swift!

Taylor gets a lot of hate at awards shows because of her constant, Wacky-Waving-Inflatable-Arm-Flailing-Tube-Man dance moves and exorcism body thrusts while playing the piano, but you’ve got to give it to her… the girl has talent AND style! Not only did she sound amazing while performing my favorite T. Swift song, All Too Well, but she looked stunning in her Alberta Ferretti chiffon gown. You can always count on Taylor to bring the entertainment and classy style.

Walking the red carpet, Taylor wore a fabulous Silver chainmail Gucci gown that made her #1 on E! Online’s Best Dressed list. This dress even had Ryan Seacrest talking! During the last few minutes of E’s red carpet special, Ryan told Giuliana Rancic that Taylor’s dress was by far his favorite. You go, Taylor! Red Carpet Fashion

Awards season has officially started! The Golden Globes kicked off the season on January 12, 2014 and wow, were there some awesome fashion moments! E! News covered the fashion on the red carpet throughout the night.  These award shows really become a social event even for people watching at home because social media allows viewers to make comments and cast votes about the best and worst dressed celebs of the evening.

I have picked some of the best dressed actors & actresses in my opinion as well as the worst dressed. First, for best dressed, I’d like to start with Amy Adams (http://www.eonline.com/photos/10866/2014-golden-globes-red-carpet-arrivals/343922):

Amy Adams wore a gorgeous red halter Valentino gown. This dress/look didn’t get good reviews with the Fashion Police on E! and many viewers, but I thought she looked stunning. I wasn’t a fan of her hair, but she still looks lovely. Next I chose Bradley Cooper (http://www.eonline.com/photos/10866/2014-golden-globes-red-carpet-arrivals/343975):

There’s not much this man could wear that would make him unattractive! The tux and bow tie are a classic and timeless look. Needless to say, this look went over very well with viewers at home! Now for the worst dressed… (http://www.eonline.com/photos/10866/2014-golden-globes-red-carpet-arrivals/344130):

Drew Barrymore, what were you thinking?! Not only does this frock make her look so unbelievable shapeless, the color completely washes her out. Clearly with this look, Drew made E! Online’s worst dressed list. Next on my personal worst dressed list is Zoe Saldana (http://www.eonline.com/photos/10958/worst-dressed-stars-at-the-2014-golden-globes/344444):

Zoe took a risk with this gown, but unfortunately, she really couldn’t pull it off. The look is too busy for my personal taste. Also, the asymmetrical sheer hem makes the dress look cheap in my opinion. Maybe next year, Zoe!

I can’t wait to see what the stars will be wearing during tonights Grammy Awards. Keep an eye out for Beyonce; she’s expected to wear something extra fabulous this year!

Pinterest Addict

I don’t know about you guys, but I am addicted to Pinterest! For those of you who don’t know what Pinterest is, it’s a relatively new social networking site in which members can “pin” & share photos that link to outside websites on their wall. Many businesses are now turning to Pinterest to get their products out there. Fashion designers such as Lauren Conrad, Urban Outfitters, and American Apparel pin to their Pinterest boards to draw traffic to their online websites.

I turn to my followers on Pinterest to find the latest fashion trends rather than watch the Fashion Police on E! or search through countless items that I may not like on FreePeople.com. I also find that when I go shopping in stores, I turn to my Pinterest “My Style That I Like But Don’t Have” board to put outfits together.

Pinterest fashion boards definitely show you what’s in style! You can browse through and see what celebrities are wearing, or you can just look at popular images people are pinning to get an idea of what’s “in”. Users are also able to upload images of themselves as well as pin things from other websites. That’s one of the things I love about Pinterest! The other day I saw a really fabulous oxblood red maxi dress on my home screen. I am attending a wedding in the spring and I thought it would be the perfect dress to wear for the occasion. All I had to do was click on the picture and it took me directly to the website where I could buy the dress! How much easier could it get?!

If you don’t already have a Pinterest account, I definitely think you should sign up for free! It’s not only a great site to get to see the latest fashion, it’s also great to find workout routines, recipes, DIY (Do It Yourself) projects, and many more! Just a heads up, once you start pinning, you’ll never stop! But why would you want to?
